Jessica Simpson unveiled her new weight loss on Instagram in September 2019, and she began sharing the health and fitness tips that helped her reduce 100 pounds. While the singer has always been ready to share personal details with her fans, she has been especially forthcoming about her fitness journey.
Jessica’s weight has varied multiple times over her decades-long career. Jessica discussed utilizing diet pills to drop weight during the beginning of her career in her best-selling 2020 book, Open Book, and even revealed that when she was 17, she was urged to shed 15 pounds after getting a recording deal. However, after gaining weight with her third pregnancy in 2019, she began exercising hard to become stronger and healthier.
In an April 2022 Instagram post, she claimed that she had “gained and lost 100 pounds three times, so I never thought this moment could or would happen, but I’m finally spring breakin’ wearin’ a BIKINI!!!!!!” Hard labor, determination, and self-love. I had a nice proud cry today. ????????☀️????.
Shortly after she began sharing her weight reduction journey with the public, the singer’s trainer, Harley Pasternak, began discussing their collaboration, including some crucial behaviors Jessica had incorporated into her daily routine to become stronger and healthier.
Pasternak gradually increased Jessica’s exercise level, beginning with 6,000 steps each day. “It’s a social thing that she can do with her kids,” he said. According to E News, she gradually increased her step count to 14,000 over time.
Jessica would undertake 45-minute gym sessions with Pasternak three times a week, impressing her trainers along the way.
“You have worked your ass off and the reward is priceless!” Sydney published a celebratory Instagram message. “I’ve been training for 10 years now and I have never been more excited for a client transformation.”
Eating healthily contributed significantly to her weight loss. Jessica followed Pasternak’s Body Reset Diet, which includes three meals and two snacks every day. Each meal has protein, fiber, and fat, whereas snacks have either protein, fiber, or both.
“She’ll have foods that are very flavorable that are healthier versions of things like a tortilla soup or Tex-Mex,” he said. The healthy eating plan allows for indulgences. “And if she has a birthday party one night and a date night another night, she’s going to indulge both of those nights, but that’s it,” Pasternak was quoted as saying by the newspaper. “It’s about balancing in a way that doesn’t make it painful or too much of a departure from your life before that.”
