  • 4 medium bananas
  • 3/4 cup whole wheat flour
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3.9 oz apple sauce
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 medium egg
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Directions

  • Mash ripened bananas in a bowl.
  • Add the rest of ingredients and mix just until moistened.
  • Pour into large loaf pan sprayed with cooking spray like Pam.
  • Bake at 350 °F (175 °C) for 1 hour and 5 minutes, or until wooden skewer comes out clean.
  • This comes out so delicious and moist; I was very impressed that it made "bread" instead of mush.
  • Note: if you wish, add a small amount of chocolate chips for an extra treat.
