Ingredients

  • 3 cups bran flakes
  • 2 1/3 cups water
  • 4 1/2 tsps baking powder
  • 440 g brownie mix

Directions

  • Mix bran flakes (like All-Bran cereal), baking soda, and water in a bowl. Soak until the bran flakes are dissolved.
  • When the bran is all mushy add the brownie mix, low fat if available. Mix together well.
  • Spoon into 24 size muffin tins.
  • Bake at 350° F (175° C) for 20-25 minutes.
  • Note: can also be made into brownies or a loaf. Cooking time may be a bit longer.
