  • 26 oz beef chuck
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
  • 8 cherry tomatoes, quartered
  • 2 thick slices bacon
  • 1/4 cup water

Directions

  • Dice the bacon and cook it well in a frying pan.
  • Drain grease, reserving about a tablespoon.
  • Brown beef stew meat in same pan.
  • Put all ingredients into a crockpot for 8 hours.
  • Note: it's ready when the beef is extremely tender like an osso bucco.
