Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 lemon yields lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic clove
  • 2 heads large hearts of romaine
  • 1 dash kosher salt
  • 1/2 cup parmesano
  • 1 dash black pepper

Directions

  • Mix together oil, lemon juice, and finely minced garlic clove.
  • Cut hearts of romaine in half lengthwise and bruish with marinade mixture. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Refrigerate until just before grilling.
  • Grill just a couple of minutes until leaves start to wilt. Then turn over and grill a few more minutes.
  • Dust with the grated cheese and enjoy. Skip the cheese if you are in stage one, the detox mode.
