  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts
  • 3/4 cup light margarine
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 6 large rectangular Graham crackers

Directions

  • Break 6 large rectangle graham cracker sheets into 12 even squares.
  • Arrange these in a 13 x 9" glass baking dish. Pre-heat oven to 300 °F (150 °C).
  • Melt butter in medium saucepan over low heat.
  • When fully melted mix in sugar, salt, and walnuts until fully incorporated.
  • Bring to a boil over medium-high heat, allow to boil for exactly 3 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • Pour walnut mixture over graham crackers and spread evenly.
  • Bake in preheated oven, uncovered, for 15 minutes.
  • Let cool for 5 minutes, then remove with spatula and allow to cool completely on wire rack placed over paper towels.
