- 1/2 cup chopped onions
- 2 tsps minced garlic
- 4 cups 100% fat free chicken broth (33% less sodium)
- 8 oz tomato sauce (canned)
- 1 3/4 cups black beans canned (no salt added)
- 1 3/4 cups cannellini beans
- 1 3/4 cups great northern beans
- 1 3/4 cups dark red kidney beans canned
- 1 3/4 cups pinto beans canned
- 2 tsps cumin
- 1 tsp sea salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp paprika
- 2 tsps garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
Directions
- In large pot over medium high heat, sauté onion until translucent.
- Add garlic and stir for one minute.
- Add broth and tomato sauce. Stir.
- Drain and rinse all the beans. Add to the pot.
- Mix the pot often until it slowly begins to bubble on the edges.
- Add salt and spices. Mix until well blended. Let it boil for 5 minutes.
