  • 1/2 cup chopped onions
  • 2 tsps minced garlic
  • 4 cups 100% fat free chicken broth (33% less sodium)
  • 8 oz tomato sauce (canned)
  • 1 3/4 cups black beans canned (no salt added)
  • 1 3/4 cups cannellini beans
  • 1 3/4 cups great northern beans
  • 1 3/4 cups dark red kidney beans canned
  • 1 3/4 cups pinto beans canned
  • 2 tsps cumin
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 2 tsps garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder

Directions

  • In large pot over medium high heat, sauté onion until translucent.
  • Add garlic and stir for one minute.
  • Add broth and tomato sauce. Stir.
  • Drain and rinse all the beans. Add to the pot.
  • Mix the pot often until it slowly begins to bubble on the edges.
  • Add salt and spices. Mix until well blended. Let it boil for 5 minutes.
