Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup green chiles
  • 2 large pieces chicken
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 2 cups white kidney beans
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp leaves oregano
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion

Directions

  • Cook chicken and onions together.
  • Stir in broth, chiles, spices and boil.
  • Reduce to low heat and simmer 15 minutes.
  • Stir in beans, simmer uncovered 5 minutes.
  • Top with cheese (if desired) and green onions; you may also serve on tortillas taco style.
