  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 cup snap peas, ends trimmed
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving

Instructions:

STEP 1: Prepare the Tofu

  1. Lay the tofu block out on a platter after wrapping it in a fresh kitchen towel. To eliminate excess moisture, place a heavy item (such as a can or pan) on top and push for at least half an hour.
  2. Tofu should be chopped into bite-sized cubes after pressing.
  3. Marinate the tofu: Combine two teaspoons soy sauce and two tablespoons cornstarch in a dish. To coat the tofu cubes, add them and stir lightly. Give it ten to fifteen minutes to marinate.

STEP 2: Pan-Fry the Tofu

  1. In a big skillet or wok, heat up one tablespoon of vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  2. When the pan is heated, add the marinated tofu cubes. Sauté them for 3–4 minutes on each side, or until they become crispy and brown. After taking the tofu out of the skillet, set it aside.

STEP 3: Prepare the Vegetables

  1. Add the last tablespoon of vegetable oil to the same skillet.
  2. Add the snap peas, broccoli florets, julienned carrot, and bell pepper slices. Stir-fry for three to four minutes, or until they become crisp but still have a hint of tenderness.
  3. Add the grated ginger and minced garlic. Cook until aromatic, about 1 more minute.

STEP 4: Combine and Season

  1. Place the cooked tofu back into the skillet along with the veggies.
  2. Pour two teaspoons of soy sauce onto the veggies and tofu. Combine by tossing everything together.
  3. If desired, add extra soy sauce to the seasoning after tasting.

STEP 5: Finish and Serve

  1. Finally, mix in the cut green onions.
  2. Serve noodles or cooked rice with the tofu stir fry.
