Alyssa Farah Griffin is attempting to lose some of the weight she has gained since joining “The View” as a co-host.
Griffin stated on Thursday’s “The View: Behind the Table” podcast that one of her New Year’s intentions is to be “more dedicated in working out daily.”
“The show’s weird, like [producer] Robin [Hommel-Tenenbaum] jokes there’s like ‘The View’ 15,” she was quoted as saying. “I did not have ‘The View’ 15, but I had like ‘The View’ 5, and I’m gonna work on shedding ‘The View’ 5.'”
Her other New Year’s plans, according to the former White House Director of Strategic Communications, are more “health and wellness” oriented, with aims such as reducing social media “doom scrolling” and becoming “more sustainable.”
Griffin, 34, did not elaborate on her fitness journey, nor did she write about it on social media.
The political commentator’s participation on “The View” has previously sparked discussion.
Griffin and co-host Whoopi Goldberg made news in September when, while discussing unrelated issues, Goldberg clumsily interfered and asked Griffin, “Are you pregnant?”
Griffin denied having a bun in the oven and asked Goldberg why she believed so, pleading with her, “Please tell me it’s not my tummy.”
Goldberg, 68, remarked that Griffin did “look” pregnant because she had a “vibe” and a “glow” about her.
The “Sister Act” actress faced outrage on social media for her assumption, but she appears to be on good terms with Griffin since the awkward talk show moment.
Griffin began co-hosting the popular ABC chat program on a permanent basis in 2022, for its 26th season.
She made many guest appearances before taking over for Meghan McCain.
