INGREDIENTS
¼ teaspoon Kosher salt
1 teaspoon Granulated sugar
1 cup Water
115 g Butter
4 Eggs
1 cup Flour
For the whipped cream
2 cups Heavy cream
4 tablespoon Powder sugar
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Preheat and Prepare: Heat oven to 218°C (425°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Make the Dough: In a saucepan, melt butter with sugar, water, and salt. Bring to a boil. Add flour and stir over medium-low heat until the dough forms a ball and a thin film forms on the pan. Cool dough slightly, then beat in eggs one at a time until smooth.
3. Pipe and Bake: Pipe dough onto the baking sheet, spacing 1 inch apart. Bake at 218°C (425°F) for 10 minutes, reduce to 180°C (350°F) and bake for 30 minutes more until golden. Let cool.
4. Prepare Filling: Whip heavy cream with vanilla and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Fill puffs with whipped cream or pastry cream. Dust with powdered sugar or top with chocolate, if desired. Enjoy!
