Elizabeth Hurley Offers Some Nutrition Advice

Elizabeth Hurley and her nutrition advice

There’s no doubting that Elizabeth Hurley, 58, has kept a relatively healthy lifestyle and strong figure during her decades-long career as a model and actress. So it’s no surprise that in a recent Instagram post, The Piper star said that she is asked “all the time” how she keeps in shape.

The Royals actress shared her nutrition “mantra” with her fans, along with a black-and-white photo of herself wearing a one-piece swimsuit from her beachwear line, Elizabeth Hurley Beach, which showed off her wonderfully toned arms and legs.

Elizabeth began her caption by claiming that she is regularly questioned about her health and fitness routine, before offering her (surprisingly) straightforward response. “My credo is to avoid eating too much, too quickly, too frequently, or too late. Or, put another way, eat smaller meals, swallow correctly, avoid snacking, and eat supper early,” she added. “It works for me. I don’t drink odd green drinks or smoothies, and I only take vitamins when a blood test shows I’m deficient in anything.”

The Bedazzled star went on to discuss her balanced approach to eating. “I try to have vegetables or fruit equal half of every plate I eat – ie if I have a sandwich, I also eat an apple,” she said. “I eat pretty much everything but only have junk food as an absolute treat – and I count junk food as anything that contains any ingredient that I don’t have in my own kitchen, so that includes ‘diet’ and ‘low-fat’ everything, all ready meals, all bought sandwiches, cakes and biscuits and all sodas.” The Austin Powers star also said that her finest investment was a bread machine, and she even prepares one loaf every day. Oh, she bakes cakes every weekend.

Elizabeth also shared a glimpse of her gym routine, or lack thereof, in her article. “In addition to nutrition, I recommend doing more exercise. “I don’t go to the gym or do any specific exercises, but I’m very active,” she wrote. “There ends the sermon. Please let me know if this makes sense for you ????????????????????.

And, as she said in her Instagram post, she avoids processed meals. “I prefer basic, natural, and easy meals. I don’t particularly enjoy meals with a lot of chemicals or additives,” she previously told The Cut. “When I’m at home in the country, I try to consume food cultivated locally. That includes meats and veggies.

Elizabeth will even cultivate her own fruits and veggies in her home garden, particularly in the summer. “I used to run a little organic farm, and my son only ate meat from there. Obviously, it is not an option for most people, but supporting local farmers wherever you live is beneficial,” she told the outlet.
