Heather Gay, star of Real Housewives of Orange County, has talked about her “long time” use of Ozempic

Heather Gay of RHOLSC fame has admitted to attempting the celebrity-endorsed diet Ozempic.

During an interview with People, the reality star, 49, acknowledged to using the medicine, which was initially designed for type 2 diabetes, for a “long time.”

She didn’t say how long she had been on the medicine, but she was ‘glad’ to have lost five pounds.

‘I’d been working on it for a long time but hadn’t seen any progress. And I haven’t had huge results, but I’ve had enough for people to notice, which is amazing,’ she told Variety Women of Reality TV on Wednesday.

Heather stated that people had been treating her differently since she lost weight, and she found the nicer conduct ‘discouraging.’

‘When you drop five pounds, people treat you better,’ she says. ‘I’m not sure why. that’s simply how the world works, and that makes me sorry for women. But I’m glad I’m down five.’

Heather was body shamed by fellow RHOLSC star Mary Cosby after she appeared on the show wearing a Gucci corset.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live, Cosby was asked if she liked the look, causing her to make a surprising statement regarding the size of her corset.

‘I’ve never seen a corset in size 14 before,’ Mary replied, questioning whether the corset was really from the company.

Gay is one of several celebrities who have acknowledged to using Ozempic, a popular diabetes prescription that has also been used to lose weight, since the controversial pharmaceutical first made news.

Emily Simpson, another Bravo star, recently revealed to using Ozempic when viewers noticed her remarkable weight reduction change.

Simpson, 47, stated on Jeff Lewis Live that she had used Ozempic, a famous diabetic medicine that has lately been utilized by celebrities to reduce weight, for a month. She lost 5-7 pounds on the medicine before stopping it and having liposuction and a breast reduction.

‘For one month only. That was a fantastic start for me. I’m just going to say, that’s what worked for me, and it worked fantastic because of all the poor habits I had, including snacking, not paying attention to what I was eating, eating late at night, and eating my kids’ meals. All of that just kind of vanished, and it made me more conscious of what I was consuming.

‘And so that was a fantastic boost for me… I didn’t lose a lot of weight doing that; I think I shed around 5 or 7 pounds.’

Emily was joined on the show by her husband Shane Simpson, who said, ‘Didn’t you stop because you didn’t really like it anymore?’

‘I didn’t enjoy how it made me feel sluggish, like I didn’t have a lot of energy, which is difficult with three little children, but it does make you feel full… It was like a breath of fresh air for me.’
