Kelly Stafford, the wife of Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, couldn’t have been more sorry when she revealed her “rude” behavior on a flight.
The podcast host rushed to Instagram to inform followers about the event aboard the Delta Airlines aircraft, clarifying her actions, which she said may not have shown her in the greatest light.
To preface her story, she said, “Anyone on my Delta flight that just landed…”
Kelly went on to say, “I really apologize if I was impolite when deplaning. So many people offered to assist with all of my daughters; it was quite generous of you to offer.” She has four kids with her husband Matthew, who appear to have been aboard the trip as well. Their daughters are identical twins Sawyer and Chandler, six; Hunter, five; and Tyler, four.
Any parent knows how difficult it can be to fly with numerous small children, but the reason she suffered was that she was unwell.
“After already throwing up on the flight a couple of times.. I needed to get off before I threw up on anyone” , she went on to say. “I hate feeling like I was being rude and I’m sorry for that.”
She then assured folks that her “infection” was “not contagious” but had taken a “serious toll” on her body.
Fans may have been concerned, considering Kelly was just diagnosed with a benign brain tumor. In 2019, she shared the heartbreaking diagnosis on Instagram, saying that she will be undergoing surgery to remove an acoustic neuroma.
She stated, “Within the last year, I began to notice things that I assumed were just me getting older… Things I’d been doing my whole life were suddenly difficult,” she stated, citing vertigo.
“We chose the greatest doctor to perform it”, she said, confessing: “I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t frightened about brain surgery. I am. I’m terrified of them opening my head, I’m terrified of losing my hearing, I’m terrified of losing facial function, I’m terrified of far worse things that could happen, and I’m terrified of not taking the time I need to recover because of the guilt I’ll feel for being away from my kids for too long.”
Kelly revealed that she had undergone a 12-hour surgery to remove the brain tumor and was now recovering. The operation was supposed to last only six hours, but once the surgeon discovered a “abnormal” vein in her head, it took longer than planned.
