King Charles Will Get Medical Treatment For an Enlarged Prostate

King Charles to undergo treatment for his enlarged prostate

Buckingham Palace stated on Wednesday that King Charles has sought treatment for an enlarged prostate and will be admitted to hospital next week for a corrective surgery.

In a statement, the palace stated that “His Majesty’s condition is benign, and he will visit the hospital next week for a corrective procedure.” The King’s public appearances will be postponed for a little time of recovery.”

It is claimed that the King, 75, wanted to publish the facts of his diagnosis in order to urge other men who may be suffering symptoms to seek medical attention in accordance with public health guidelines.

According to the NHS website, benign prostatic enlargement (BPE) is the medical name for an enlarged prostate, a disorder that can impact how you pee. BPE is frequent among males over 50. It’s not cancer, and it rarely poses a major health risk.”

The King had a series of meetings and festivities scheduled for Thursday and Friday at Dumfries House in East Ayrshire, but these have been postponed due to his doctor’s advise.

Charles was last seen in public on Sunday, attending a church service with Queen Camilla at Crathie Kirk, near the Balmoral estate.

The King and Queen have been living at their Scottish house, Birkhall, since the beginning of the year, following their Christmas holiday in Sandringham.

The news of the King’s medical operation came only hours after Kensington Palace reported that Charles’ daughter-in-law, the Princess of Wales, was recuperating in hospital after scheduled stomach surgery.

The palace issued a statement saying, “Her Royal Highness The Princess of Wales was brought to the hospital last Tuesday for scheduled abdominal surgery.

“The surgery was successful, and she is expected to stay in the hospital for ten to fourteen days before returning home to continue her recovery.” Based on current medical advice, she is unlikely to resume public activities until after Easter.

“The Princess of Wales appreciates the attention that this message may elicit. She hopes the public understands her want to keep her children’s lives as normal as possible, as well as her desire to keep her personal medical information private.

“Kensington Palace will, however, only offer updates on Her Royal Highness’ progress when important new information is available.

“The Princess of Wales wishes to apologies to everyone concerned for having to postpone her future commitments. She is eager to reinstate as many as possible, as quickly as feasible.”
