- 24 oz frankfurter pieces, low fat
- 3 tsps sugar
- 3 lbs red cabbage
- 1/2 lemon yields lemon juice
- 2 medium tart apples
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground ginger
- 1/2 tsp ground cloves
- 1 tbsp crumbled bay leaves
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
Directions
- Shred the apples with peel and cabbage.
- Put everything into a crock pot.
- Simmer for 7-8 hours. Adjust the temperature depending on how long you need it to cook.
