Brown Sugar Crusted Salmon

Baked salmon encrusted in brown sugar, Dijon mustard and lemon juice.

  • 16 oz boneless salmon
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsps vegetable oil
  • 1/2 lemon yields lemon juice
  • 4 tsp Dijon mustard

Directions

  • Divide salmon into 6 equal servings.
  • Rub vegetable oil on salmon and season with salt and pepper.
  • Place skin side up in oven safe skilled and brown until golden brown crust forms.
  • Remove from heat, turn salmon over so skin side is down and smother with combined brown sugar, lemon juice and mustard.
  • Bake at 400 °F (200 °C) in skillet until salmon is done and glaze has formed a caramelized state.
