Ingredients

  • 3 tsps sugar
  • 1/2 cup shredded mild cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups white flour
  • 3/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup 2% milk
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 tsps baking powder

Directions

  • Mix all dry ingredients.
  • Cut in butter until coarse.
  • Add milk and mix until moist.
  • Gently fold in cheese.
  • Drop biscuits on a greased pan.
  • Bake at 450 °F (230 °C) in a preheated oven for 10-12 minutes.
  • Brush with melted butter and pepper (optional).
