- 224 g semi-sweet mini chocolate chip morsels
- 1/2 cup all vegetable shortening
- 1 stick butter
- 1/2 cup unpacked brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 1/2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
Directions
- In a small bowl, mix together flour, salt, and baking soda.
- In a larger bowl, mix melted butter, vegetable shortening, vanilla extract, brown sugar, and granulated sugar.
- Combine the two mixtures and stir until smooth.
- Add chocolate chips.
- Form into small balls and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in preheated oven at 350°F for 10-15 minutes or until golden.
