Cracked Pepper Steak

Delicious steak with a pepper and rosemary sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp cracked black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp rosemary
  • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 steaks 1" thick beef tenderloins
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil butter spread, reduced calorie
  • 2 oz dry red wine

Directions

  • Combine pepper and rosemary in large bowl. Coat both sides of steak (4-6 ounces each).
  • Heat butter and oil in skillet until hot. Add steaks and cook over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes or until center is 160 °F (70 °C)
  • Remove steaks and cover to keep warm.
  • Add wine to skillet and bring to boil over high heat, scraping particles from bottom of skillet.
  • Boil for about 1 minute or until liquid is reduced by half. Spoon sauce over steaks.
