  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 stalks medium celery
  • 1 cup pieces or slices mushrooms
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 large green pepper
  • 15 oz diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups vegetable juice
  • 1/3 cup brown rice
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 29 oz tomato sauce
  • 15 oz kidney beans
  • 2 oz brown sugar

Directions

  • Brown ground beef and ground turkey.
  • Chopped onion, green pepper and celery.
  • Empty tomato sauce, diced tomatoes and vegetable juice (like V8) in crockpot.
  • Place meat and vegetables in crockpot.
  • Add chili powder to taste.
  • Add chipotle sauce if desired.
  • Cook in crockpot on low for 8 hours.
