  • 1/4 tsp kosher salt
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 4 tbsp canola oil
  • 3 cups rolled oats
  • 1/2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup honey

Directions

  • In one bowl stir together rolled oats, brown sugar, salt, and cinnamon.
  • In a separate bowl mix honey, canola oil and vanilla.
  • Dump honey mixture over granola mixture, thoroughly combine by hand. Ensure that everything is evenly coated by honey.
  • Heat oven to 300 °F (150 °C).
  • Spread mixture in a thin, even layer on a baking sheet and place on center rack.
  • Bake for 20 to 30 minutes, stirring every 10 minutes.
  • Cool completely, stirring occasionally to prevent clumping or group together for clusters. Stir any extras such as dried fruit, nuts, seeds, toasted coconut, etc. at this point.
  • Store in an airtight container. Goes stale fast!
