Ingredients

  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1/4 cup less sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup unpacked brown sugar
  • 1 lb ground beef 90/10

Directions

  • Heat a large skillet over medium heat and brown ground beef with garlic in the sesame oil.
  • Drain off fat and add brown sugar, soy sauce, ginger and red pepper flakes. Simmer for a few minutes to blend flavors.
  • If desired serve over steamed rice and top with green onions.
  • Note: you can swap the ground beef for ground turkey.
