  • 1 reduced fat homestyle buttermilk biscuit
  • 1 medium apple
  • 1 tsp packed brown sugar
  • 1 pat butter
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Directions

  • Take biscuit, and place on a greased cookie sheet.
  • Slice apple thinly, place on top of biscuit (press down a little to flatten the biscuit slightly). You may not need the entire apple to cover the biscuit.
  • Take butter and slice very thinly. Spread out over the apple slices.
  • Sprinkle with brown sugar. Add cinnamon and ginger, as much as desired.
  • Bake at 375 °F (190 °C) for 20 minutes. It takes a little longer than the biscuits normally would, due to the toppings.
  • Note: add an optional scoop of reduced fat vanilla ice cream for an extra special treat.
