Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large egg whites
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups milk (nonfat)
  • 1 tsp iodized salt
  • 2 tbsps baking powder (low sodium)
  • 2 tbsps sugar
  • 1/2 cup oat bran
  • 1/2 cup flax seed meal
  • 1 cup white flour
  • 1 scoop chocolate milkshake protein powder

Directions

  • Mix dry ingredients in a bowl.
  • Mix wet ingredients except egg whites.
  • Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients.
  • Whip egg whites to stiff peaks.
  • Fold in egg whites using a spatula.
  • Cook in a waffle iron until golden.
