  • 1 3/4 cups canned black beans
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 3/4 cups red beans
  • 16 oz lean ground turkey
  • 1 1/3 cups frozen corn
  • 1/2 tsp allspice
  • 4 tbsps chili powder
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/4 tsp ground coriander
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 1 1/2 cups pacific beef broth
  • 1 medium red onion, chopped
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 3/4 cups kidney beans
  • 1/2 cup refried beans
  • 6 oz canned diced green chili peppers
  • 1 lb canned whole tomatoes

Directions

  • Use a large 6-8 quart slow cooker. Brown the turkey in a pan over medium heat with the onion and bell peppers.
  • Add the tomato sauce and refried beans to the slow cooker and stir until smooth.
  • Add the whole tomatoes and crush to desired chunkyness.
  • Add turkey mixture and all remaining ingredients to the slow cooker and stir well.
  • Add beef broth to desired consistency.
  • Cook on low for 6-8 hours or high for 4-6 hours.
