  • 32 oz tomato juice
  • 29 oz tomato puree
  • 1 1/2 cups dark red kidney beans
  • 1 4/5 cup pinto beans
  • 1 1/2 cups onion, chopped
  • 1/2 cup celery, chopped
  • 1/4 cup green peppers, chopped
  • 1/4 cup chili powder
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 1/2 tsps garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp ground pepper
  • 1/2 tsp ground oregano
  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1 lb lean ground beef

Directions

  • Brown beef, drain and rinse.
  • Chop all ingredients and rinse.
  • Add all ingredients to a large pot, cook until boiling.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
