Scallops with Lemon-Basil Sauce

Treat yourself to a taste of elegance with Scallops in Lemon-Basil Sauce! Tender, seared scallops meet a bright, zesty sauce that’s full of fresh basil and citrusy goodness. Simple, fresh, and bursting with flavor—it’s a seafood dish that’s sure to impress!

INGREDIENTS

1 ½ pounds large sea scallops
¼ teaspoon salt, divided
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper, divided
1 large lemon
1 tablespoon butter, divided
¾ cup dry white wine
1 tablespoon water
½ teaspoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh basil

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Add 2 tablespoons of lemon juice and 1/4 teaspoon of grated lemon rind. Scatter scallops with 1/8 tsp of salt and pepper.
2. Take the scallops out of the butter when they’re done and keep them warm.
3. Put wine and lemon juice in the same pan and let it cook for two minutes.
4. Stir in the mixture of water and corn flour until it gets thick. Put the rest of the items on top of the scallops.
