Sip your way into a sunset paradise with this vibrant Mai Tai! A tropical swirl of rum, citrus, and almond, it’s like holding a Hawaiian sunset in a glass—bright, tangy, and just a bit daring. One sip, and you’re instantly on island time!

INGREDIENTS

1/2 oz orgeat syrup (almond syrup)
1/2 oz lime juice, freshly squeezed
1 oz white rum
1 oz dark rum
1/2 oz orange curaçao
1/4 oz grenadine
Ice cubes
Garnish: Pineapple slice, maraschino cherry, or a lime wheel

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Mix the Base: In a shaker, combine white rum, orange curaçao, orgeat syrup, and lime juice with ice. Shake well until chilled.
2. Pour Over Ice: Strain into an ice-filled tall glass.
3. Float the Dark Rum: Gently pour dark rum over the back of a spoon to float on top.
4. Add the Sunset Effect: Drizzle grenadine inside the glass to sink to the bottom, creating a sunset gradient.
5. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with a pineapple slice, cherry, or lime wheel. Serve with a straw and enjoy!
