Tammy Slaton is not rushing to earn her driver’s license despite completing a big milestone in her weight reduction quest. Discover why the 1000-pound Sisters star is avoiding driving for the time being.
While Tammy Slaton is on a mission to alter her physique and lifestyle, she is putting a halt to one aspect: driving.
Following an episode of her TLC series 1000-lb Sisters in which she successfully attempted to sit in the front seat of a car for the first time in over two decades, the reality star claimed that she intends to get behind the wheel one day.
“I do want to learn eventually,” Tammy Slaton said in answer to a fan query in a TikTok video posted on December 31, “but right now anxiety is just a little too much.” There’s a lot going on. However, tiny steps.”
However, the 37-year-old had prior golf cart driving experience. “It didn’t go too fast,” she said. “But yes, eventually, I do want to drive a car.”
Tammy’s future driving intentions are part of a new chapter in her life after spending 14 months in a weight reduction treatment facility. She shed almost 400 pounds via therapy and bariatric surgery before leaving the institution where she met her late husband, Caleb Willingham, last year.
Tammy has commented on how her weight reduction has altered her life since leaving the facility.
“Just walking without a walker or being pushed in a wheelchair, and no oxygen.” “I don’t even sleep with it anymore,” she said to People. “Then it was being able to fit in a regular vehicle, front seat, and then the belt buckle without needing an extender.” So, what appears trivial to some people is massive to me.”
