Martha Stewart Pilates exercise

The icon, Martha Stewart, posted her newest exercise on Instagram this week, and it’s evident that this icon has been doing some serious core training. Martha Stewart released a video of herself reclining on a Pilates reformer, working out. “Harder and more effective than it looks!!” Martha captioned the video.

In the video, Martha is laying on her back on Reformer’s sliding carriage, her legs crossed and hoisted up in the air. She then tugs the straps down toward her feet, moving her body forward and backward. This is not only a wonderful arm and shoulder workout, but it also helps to strengthen your core. Essentially, this woman is a beast on the machine.

Of course, Martha’s fans were ecstatic to see her looking so robust. “WERK MARTHA????,” one follower wrote. Another added, “The fountain of youth, ladies and gentlemen.” And they’re not wrong; Martha seems sculpted and shining while she works out.

ICYDK, a pilates reformer is a piece of equipment with a system of springs and pulleys that provide resistance. The machine features a surface, a foot bar, and platforms at the top and bottom that allow for a variety of low-impact exercises. It can also aid with coordination, which can be difficult to achieve in a Pilates lesson on the mat.

Pilates is one of Martha’s favorite methods to exercise, and she attends a class every other day, according to her blog. Martha does more than just that to maintain her health. This diva enjoys drinking green juice and a cappuccino in the morning, according to her blog. Martha also avoids fast food and praises her parents with teaching the value of an active lifestyle in her as a youngster, according to another post quoted by The Daily Mail.

Martha reveals that she usually starts her day with a 20-minute treadmill workout and then performs some yoga. “I love practicing yoga to keep my muscles long, limber, and flexible, and I also work out at least three times a week with my trainer,” she said.
