Tyra Banks, 49, explains shocking secret to her youthful beauty

Tyra Banks, looking stunning and youthful

Tyra Banks turns 50 on December 4, and she’s revealed her simple tip to staying youthful: embrace natural weight gain.

Tyra told DailyMail.com bluntly at the Como 1907 charity event in Italy that her “extra weight” has maintained her face looking “nice and juicy naturally,” without the need for Botox or other cosmetic operations.

“I do think one secret is extra weight, because I’ve not been too skinny,” Tyra added, underlining her acceptance and love of the natural changes that occur with age.

The supermodel and business entrepreneur acknowledged to gaining “a ton” of weight during the Covid epidemic but claimed no desire to lose it. “Los Angeles had a bunch of these things where you could drive around and have those experiences in your car,” she said of pandemic-related lifestyle changes.

Tyra, who has been vocal about avoiding fillers and injectables, isn’t wholly opposed to cosmetic modifications, having had a nose operation early in her career. “The only thing I did was my nose, and that was many years ago,” she told me. “I’m not anti [injections] – maybe one day I will, but I haven’t done it yet.”

Her transformation from a Nineties supermodel to embracing a larger size has been well publicized and embraced. Tyra’s outlook on aging is surprising and powerful, especially in a profession that is sometimes chastised for artificial beauty standards.

She attributes superstars such as Halle Berry, Jennifer Aniston, and Jennifer Lopez to redefining what it means to be 50. “Wasn’t 50 considered old when I was younger?” “Now I look at these women and think, ‘What the hell is 50?'” she said.

Tyra associates aging with knowledge and a sense of liberation. She feels more emancipated and anchored in her life experiences as she approaches her 50th birthday.

Her business partner, Louis Bélanger-Martin, admires her natural attractiveness, particularly her gray hair. “My man loves my gray hair,” she said, emphasizing that growing older is a ‘luxury.’

Tyra’s birthday plans are unknown because she dislikes huge gatherings. “I’m not much of a party girl,” she said. “I don’t mind being the center of attention if I’m on a stage or on television, but in my personal life, then no.” Nonetheless, her lover suggested that there will be some surprises in store for her big day.

Tyra has broken barriers and set records during her remarkable career. She was the first Black woman to be on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit issue, and at 45, she became the oldest woman to appear on the cover in 2019, a record subsequently broken by Martha Stewart, who was 81.

Tyra recently stepped down as “Dancing With The Stars” presenter to focus on her entrepreneurial endeavors, including the debut of her ice cream line.
