Jessica Biel considers eating in the shower to be her seventh heaven.
In fact, the Sinner star admitted that she can’t stop bringing her meals into the restroom.
“I really want to start a movement, a shower-eating movement,” Biel said in a TikTok video from January 22. “I think, for people who are multitasking, it’s just going to be a relief in so many ways.”
The 41-year-old—who has two children, Silas, 8, and Phineas, 3, with husband Justin Timberlake—went on to describe the “rules” she follows in order to have her cake and shower.
“A ledge is extremely useful,” Biel instructed. “Somewhere you can place your cup, yogurt container, coffee, or espresso—whatever you’re drinking. I prefer to take a nibble or a drink and place it on the ledge, then you can do your thing.”
The 7th Heaven alum also shared some advice on what to avoid while eating spa-ghetti—or any shower meal.
“Only tricky thing is, when you’re chewing, you gotta keep your mouth closed,” Biel said with a smile. “Because I still like to get under the water while I’m chewing, and for whatever reason, I want to open my mouth at the same time and spit water.”
“So, chew, do not open the mouth [and] do not let the shower water in,” Biel went on to say. “There you go, enjoy your shower-consuming.”
Biel’s social media fans have varied feelings about her snack-and-soak addiction.
“I’ve got four kids, and they eat my food,” one supportive TikToker wrote. “I stand behind this 100 percent since it’s the only place I have privacy.”
Another user was less enthusiastic about the notion, commenting, “I can’t even chew gum in the bathroom.”
However, Biel refuses to violate some lifestyle boundaries. While the Shock and Awe actress has introduced the concept of shower-eating into her household, she strives to leave work at the door.
“That’s something I’ve worked on for myself, and I really want to be able to have that work-life separation,” Biel told E! News following her arduous role as suspected killer Candy Montgomery in the Hulu series Candy. “And my kids make my life absolutely chaotic, wonderful, and full of love. So that gloom has no place in my house, and I leave it at work.
