  • 2 cups green beans
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cilantro
  • 1 medium sweet red pepper
  • 1/4 tbsp toasted sesame seeds

Directions

  • In a large mixing bowl stir together lime or lemon juice, soy sauce, cilantro, sugar, sesame oil, garlic powder, and if desired, a dash of crushed red pepper.
  • Add cooked green beans, bean sprouts, and sweet red pepper; toss to coat.
  • Cover and refrigerate for 4 to 24 hours.
  • To serve, sprinkle with toasted sesame seeds.
  • Note: best with fresh green beans.
