Jason Kelce will not stand by and let the term “boneless” defame his go-to bar food, beloved wings.
On the most recent edition of New Heights, the podcast he co-hosts with his brother, Travis Kelce, the NFL star refuted the notion that boneless and regular wings are interchangeable.
While promoting one of the podcast’s sponsors, Buffalo Wild Wings—or, as Travis refers to it, B-Dubs—Jason gave quite the heated take on the iconic bar snack adored by many—but, as it turns out, detested by the football player.
Travis informed Jason of the restaurant’s BOGO deals, which are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays, prompting Jason to jokingly solidify his dinner plans for those nights before learning that Tuesday’s offer is buy one, get one 50% off traditional wings, and Thursday’s offer is buy one, get one free boneless wings.
That’s when things got heated, as Travis verified conventional wings were superior to boneless wings—with nothing beating a classic drumstick—while Jason Kelce said, “There’s no such thing as a boneless wing,” labeling it “false advertising.”
He made an exception for the eatery, stating, “I’ll allow it, because Buffalo Wild Wings is phenomenal.”
When it comes to food, the brothers are known to have strong opinions, with Jason particularly fond of peanut butter-heavy sweets. One of the Eagles’ stadium security guards is aware of this and surprised him with a giant box of Reese’s Peanut Butter Puffs—which happen to be both of the Kelce brothers’ favorites—ahead of their match-up against the Giants this past Christmas, and he doubled down on the preference in the most recent episode of New Heights, where he confirmed that he and Travis shared their favorite Girl Scout cookie flavors.
Jason, of course, like tagalongs, while Travis loves the “nice switch-up” that the “lemon cookie” gives, though it’s unclear if he meant Lemonades or Lemon-Ups.
