Ashley Park experiencing critical septic shock

Ashley Park, came out about a recent health emergency that resulted in a stint in the intensive care unit, and she expressed thanks to boyfriend and co-actor Paul Forman.

The Emily in Paris actor, Ashley Park, revealed that she is currently healing from tonsillitis, which turned into a major illness, critical septic shock, and required a stay in the intensive care unit.

“As I sit here processing and recovering from the first few weeks of 2024, the only word I can think of is grateful,” Ashley said in an Instagram post on January 19. “While on vacation between December and New Year’s, what began as tonsillitis turned into acute septic shock, infecting and affecting numerous of my organs. I am grateful that my health has improved, despite what we were first told.”

And the Joy Ride star, who posted photographs and videos of the couple from her hospital stay, revealed her relationship with Emily in Paris co-star Paul Forman in her post, along with a heartfelt statement thanking him for his support.

“Grateful most of all to @peforman for being unconditionally by my side through all this,” she said. “You eased my concerns and accompanied me through ambulances, three foreign hospitals, a week in the ICU, terrifying ERs, many scans, tests, and injections, unbearable agony, and so much uncertainty, all while we were alone on the other side of the world, far from those we knew. I adore you, Paul. More than I could possibly express.”

The 32-year-old also reassured followers that, while she is “on the other side of the worst,” she is still healing.

“Thanks for reading this,” she finished. “I apologize for my recent absence from so many things and people in my life. I adore you all. I’m healing, and I guarantee I’ll be okay.”

Ashley’s pals and costars, including her and Paul’s Emily in Paris co-star Lily Collins, left comments of affection.

“I can hardly look at these without crying,” she commented on Ashley’s Jan. 19 post. “I love you, sister, and I’m forever grateful you’re on the other side of this, as well as @peforman for your incredibly big heart and being there for me every step of the way.” I can’t wait to embrace you both!”
