Everything Jennifer Garner Eats In A Day

Jennifer Garner is virtually always completely booked and quite busy. As a professional mother managing three children (two adolescents and a sixth-grader) and a slew of major acting projects—the most recent of which is the Netflix comedy Family Switch—you’d assume health would take a second seat. But that is not the case with this celebrity.

The 13 Going on 30 actress revealed everything, including how she starts her day, her favorite lunch hack, and the greatest goodies in her cupboard. Prepare to take notes—here’s what Jennifer Garner eats and how she works out.

Jennifer is up and running at 5:00 a.m., beginning each day with a cup of coffee. At 5:30 a.m., she begins her regular Zoom exercise with Beth Nicely, @thelimitfit. Her daily class combines dance aerobics, plyometrics, and strength training.

“Building your cardiovascular fitness and building your strength—it’s not about how you look, it’s not about how you fit into clothes, it’s about your own strength and pushing yourself further than you think you can go,” she said.

Breakfast is normally served at 10:00 a.m. and includes whole fat yogurt, almonds, and berries. “There’s usually an apple in there somewhere,” she said.

By 12:00 p.m., she’s having her daily lunch, a “big, fat salad like Elaine in Seinfeld,” she adds. The salad is made out of arugula and robust vegetables like green beans and broccoli, and she doesn’t add any protein to it anymore.

Instead, she’ll add half a sweet potato, which she generally prepares by cutting in half, roasting with olive oil, salt, and pepper, and preserving in the fridge for use throughout the week. “That’s a hack for ya, you’re welcome,” she said. Finally, she will top the salad with cheese and chopped nuts, adding “anything” she wants.

She likes to “make mom food” for her family for supper. For example, when she prepares, she always tries to include a starch and a large salad, thus a typical supper for them is generally roast chicken, mashed potatoes, twice baked potatoes, rice, or pizza crackers, sometimes known as baked pizza dough.

Jen recently published the recipe for legendary pizza crackers, one of her “family’s favorite things,” on Instagram as part of her #PretendCookingShow. In the video, she demonstrates how she cooks the snack and even uses items from her garden.

“This is a weekly staple in my household. Yes, when it comes down to it, it’s “pizza” without the toppings—but it’s tasty, easy to make, and keeps for a few days. Happy munching! ????????????,”

She adds popcorn is one of their family’s favorite after-dinner treats, and she eats similarly on weekends as she does throughout the week.
