It was during a talk with Robin Roberts when the anchor of Good Morning America and his daughter, who is 19 years old, disclosed the information.
The recent toll that the 19-year-old has had on her health is being discussed openly by Michael Strahan and his daughter Isabella Strahan.
Over the course of the previous year, the anchor of Good Morning America took a leave of absence from his hosting responsibilities in order to attend to a personal matter that was occurring within his family.
Now, in an emotional interview with his colleague at ABC, Robin Roberts, the former NFL great and his daughter are talking up about the tragic news that she received: a brain tumor.
Isabella, who had begun her academic career at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles in the autumn of 2017, was given a diagnosis of medulloblastoma in late October. Medulloblastoma is the most prevalent kind of malignant brain tumor in children, and it first originates from the cerebellum, which is located in the lower back region of the brain.
The college freshman shared with Robin that her initial symptoms consisted of migraines, but that they eventually progressed to nausea, and that she “couldn’t walk straight.” “I didn’t notice anything was off until probably around October 1,” she said.
Later on in that month, things took a turn for the worst, and she recalled the following: “I woke up, probably at around one o’clock in the afternoon.” When I woke up, I feared it. However, I started vomiting blood, and I continued by saying, “I was thinking to myself, ‘Hm, this probably isn’t good.'” As a result, I sent a text message to [my sister], who subsequently informed the entire family.
After her father swiftly persuaded her to go to the doctor and have a series of tests done, they discovered a rapidly expanding tumor in the back of her skull that measured four centimeters and was larger than a gold ball.
After that, Michael said to Robin, “I don’t really remember much,” and continued by saying, “I just remember trying to figure out how to get to Los Angeles as soon as possible.” In addition, it doesn’t seem genuine at all. Quite simply, it did not feel genuine.
